American Heart Association

On May 18 UASEM participated in the American Heart Association's 43rd Annual Wall Street Run & Heart Walk. This event is a three-mile event for runners and walkers aimed to raise awareness and funds to support the American Heart Association's mission to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke--the nation's number 1 and 3 killers, claiming nearly a million lives annually and more than 27,000 in New York City alone.

Donations raised by racers and supporters alike go to the American Heart Association and its mission to improve the lives of Americans through better cardiovascular health, medical research, and education

UASEM students assisted the American Heart Association with Hands Only CPR demonstrations as runners returned to Brookfield Plaza after their run.
